Trump was fine with his foreign policy. Everyone freaked out, but in the end, it worked out fine.

As someone who has had family members suffer through dementia, I really find it funny when people say stupid shit like this, as if they have any fucking clueabout what they're talking about. And before you 'what about' it, I felt the same way when people say that shit about Trump.

It doesn't make you look any more "edgy" or whatever. it just makes you look like a clueless ass.
 
This move is temporary and really just ensures more intervention over there in the very near future, probably by design. Gift wrapping weapons and equipment for terrorists didn’t work with ISIS, not sure why it would with the Taliban. I’ve always been for leaving the Middle East, but maybe we don’t fund their next war against us on our way out?

Trump wouldn't know foreign policy if he paid 130K for it....probably couldn't find the place on a map....Biden could sleep through the crisis and know more about handling it than the disgraced windbag that you're comparing him to.. Fuck that douchebag

I too have had family members and known others with varying forms of dementia. Biden may not be a full blown case but he is clearly suffering. Seems a lot like Sundowning to me at this point.

well you should go down to the public square and protest...write your congressman! They've been beheading people for thousands of years...including our people....we get them out...that stops for our people...they have a sovereign nation with an army and govt...we're done...the UN can do the world peace thing and we can give them jeeps and support..this is a never ending war as long as we're there even though they have a fucked up religious death dance and warlord squabble to maintain....sanctions will do more than our troops on the ground...let the Taliban isolate the country..they're land locked..20 years of advising them has failed miserably...time to cut bait and go home...let the Islamic presence in the area deal with this issue...the money we wasted there should be building a new power grid here

This was always going to happen if the US wasn't committed to staying 50 years and re-educating the next generation of that country.

It seems like to have any chance at all we'd have had to start by making sure there were no more Saudi funded Wahhabism based schools and replace them with democratic based schools, defended by military.

We would really have to win the hearts and minds of the people. And that was going to be a tall order which would mean stop being a military force and start being a peace keeping force only responding to violence against the people. And it still might have failed.

But the way we did it we had no chance. It was always going to end this way.

Once there we should have probably just built military bases there and planned on staying for good.

These people deserve better than what we're leaving them to deal with. It's just such a sad situation.

Americans are really good at that. Kony 2012, for example, was a huge thing for a while, and then we got distracted.

It's something that left and right both do. It gets old really quick, but on the plus side, because the people who bring up this this are easy to read and predict what they're going to all the sudden care about or post about.

Yeah, at 71 Ive seen it happen over time. People just seem more interested in taking sides and no prisoners anymore. Man, I too worry everyday about my adult kids and young grandkids.
My grandson that is going into high school just got chastised by his best friends parents for getting vaccinated, which really pissed me off.
My 15 year old granddaughter was grabbed by an antifa dude downtown because she had a Youth for Christ shirt on. Im not religious but I dont have a problem with friends or family that want to be. Its their freedom of choice. Others shouldn't not get physical with kids because of their contrary believes. Touch my grandkids in front of me wouldn't be a good idea.
Im amazed at all the graffiti and garbage in many parts of our city.
