Biden is better than Trump but he’s too old and going through the motions. He’s a puppet now for democrats and his decent cabinet. I hope the dems open it up to multiple candidates in 2024 and just dont try and just coronate Harris.
 
All Biden has done so far, is bring normalcy back to the oval office.

He has already lied to us several times. He has worked hard to big moneyed interests, and done little for main street.

He is a useless tool for corporate interests... just like his predecessors.

Not yet. The republicans and democrats are way too corrupt to ever be trusted, and there are no "progressives" who aren't becoming too ancient to be able to vote for.

Far less like his immediate predecessor... But yeah. He is exactly what we thought he'd be.

1000 bucks a month for everyone I'd say for starters...I don't see Yang getting the vote because of his ethnic background in this country...other than that , he's probably as capable as the last dozen guys to try the job. the Karens would melt down if we had a Chinese american president...book it

I don't mean to say the UBI is a gimmick - it's not - but it's one thing, and the presidency is a lot of things.

Nothing in his background convinces me that he's particularly capable. I think he is reasonably bright, so he could learn. But he's not really a good politician, and who cares about that? Nobody except voters. You have to get the votes, and he doesn't. Or hasn't so far, anyway.

I have a cousin that went to the University of Alabama and got her PhD there in engineering. She married a Chinese man who got his PhD there in the same branch of engineering and now they both are professors at Princeton. All my family there, many of whom are not very accepting of Blacks have welcomed him with both arms and they all love my wife but then my wife is sweet beyond compare and kind of makes up for me. What does my wife see in me? Beats the hell out of me but I thank God for it and pray every Sunday that I can somehow miraculously be a better husband, a better Christian, a better family member and a better citizen of this Earth not in that order. Have patience, I'm a work in progress.

There is a problem with seeing Biden's corruption as "The lesser of two evils". Biden may not be a maniacal, narcissistic orange Cheeto, but he is as evil as Trump non the less.

Biden's administration dropped the Andrew Cuomo nursing homes case. This act made it so that American citizens who lost family members, could no longer sue these corporate entities that caused the deaths. In essence, Biden shielded corporations monetary assets when these corporations deserved to be sued. To me choosing money over human lives is as heinously evil an act as a person could possibly do. (This is just one example of Biden's B.S., I could easily post way more.)

Biden is pure evil, plain and simple.

Oh I don't disagree that Biden is a typical politician, but Trump hurt far more families for far more malicious reasons.

I don't support Biden and don't want to get into a the habit of defending him. But he's at least not an existential threat to the country as a whole.

I agree we need a younger president. We don't need an 80 year old president from either side.

Biden has said he intends to run again. Trump has said the same. I hope they don't.

If Biden decides not to run, there will be several candidates led by Harris. We will see if she gets the nomination.

A younger President is a must. I think the chances Biden runs again are slim. His age has really caught up with him. But, if he is a sitting President the dems will have no choice but to back him. That may make it nearly impossible for the dems to maintain the WH.

As to the GOP, I hope someone emerges aside from Trump. I'm a long time registered independent and he has lost our vote. And No one wants to see this sorry rematch.

Selling America out to corporations is: an existential threat to the country as a whole (So I see no difference, in that part.). Both parties work for corporations/America's elite class. Look who they bail out, and who they let eat pavement when an economic crisis hits America. And you see exactly who our government cares about, and who they don't care about. The pattern of them bailing out wall street while allowing Americans to loose their livelihoods is a sick pattern of corruption. Literally the only people safe during an economic crisis, is the rich. The rest of us get loans and maybe a tent for your new address on the sidewalk, if you're lucky. The exact same people who can cause America's economic crisis, are the very same people that our government bails out. That is straight up, wrong. We should all be in this together, with no special rules for the rich.

If people knew how much he is keeping that Trump brought to the table, I think they might not see them as so different after all.
 
Are we going to have one thread for everything Biden does during, presumably, a four or possibly eight year presidency? It could get pretty long.

There is a huge difference. I legitimately questioned if the US would survive another 4 years of Trump. That is not in question with Biden.

The situation is not good, but at least under Biden it is not dire.

Honestly, suggesting they are similar is a HUGE disservice to the US. The corruption of Trump and his presidency was magnitudes worse than anything Biden has done or will do.

It's not close.

Biden gets us back to somewhere between Dubya and Obama. neither of which were good Both of which were worlds from being as bad as Trump.

You can't look at everything and call it evil without encouraging people to start ignoring evil. You're hurting your cause in doing so.

Now, this doesn't mean we should ignore the actions of Biden. But we have to understand we didn't have much of a choice.

Do you seriously think he'll even still be in office this time next year?

Anyone who has watched a relative fall to dementia knows the speed and finality of it's effects.

His imminent exit is guaranteed, all efforts are focusing on how to prevent Harris or Pelosi from seizing power.

I wouldn't worry under Obama or G.W. Bush. But they were also just as corrupt and culpable for America's current situation as Trump is. Obama helped to put Trump to the white house, the way he threw his towel in the ring and stumped for Hillary. People should remember that it was Hillary Clinton and her corruption that literally put Trump is the white house. CNN, played a role as well. In the 2016 elections they gave Trump more free air time than Hillary or Bernie combined. The left isn't as left as people want to believe. They haven't even been the party of the people since before Jimmy Carter, if truly ever.

People don't see the corruption in the left as they do in the right. I get that. It used to be the same for me, until I saw the truth.




I would like every democrat out there to do me a favor. Add up all money America has lost in tax revenue due the tax cuts from Ronald Reagan, G.W. Bush and Trump. Add up all the lost tax revenue by American workers as they've been asked to tighten their belts for decades now. Once you come up to a number in the high trillions of dollars. You understand that the democrats not reversing those tax cuts, is their part in the corruption.

And, by the way. Make sure to go show your children and great grandchildren where there future went.

And if that number doesn't clue a person into the corruption going on in our government. America's huge debt should. I liken America asking to borrow money to, the richest person in the room asking to borrow money. It's totally absurd, shouldn't ever happen. Yet we praise our leaders while they do nothing to fix America's problems, while they look the other way. I can't look the other way anymore.

Lastly, as I see it. We are all racist. America's foreign and domestic policies are clearly racist. Most of America's enemies are minorities here in America. The people that live on the bottom rung of American society are also minorities. It's an undeniable pattern that, for me, shows that America is a racist nation. And we are all racists for supporting this government.

Ok, this was fun. Clearly we view the two parties differently. We could go on from here, but there doesn't seem to be a point. And I don't feel up to hijacking this thread.
