It would be Dame and Giannis.Damn. Imagine he for some dumb reason does want to come to Portland what a kick in the dick that would be for dame lmao.
Suns must be regretting giving us Toumani as a throw in
I'm sure they regret the trade overall. Nurk isn't even playing for them anymore. Massive fleece now.
Who is Washington trying to build around? Sarr and Carrington? I would think they’re wide open for business.
The key is the types of players the Blazers are winning with. If the Blazers are winning because its young players that could contribute even more in ~5 years then your totally right and wins are more valuable than losses because the young talent on our team is becoming more valuable than the loss of that value from a lower lottery pick. How would you like to be Cooper Flagg walking into that situation? That team could win the lotto and get Flagg and pick in the top three next year and still be years from being close to .500.
That's why I think some people getting so upset about playing well and winning games when we're still going to be in the lottery is such a weird flex. If we weren't getting better, it would mean we don't have the talent on the roster for adding Flagg to make a difference.
Richman needs a cohost. Casey was a good duo with Freeman - he needs an independent cohost.I wish there would be a reporter following the Blazers. Highkin is nice but his ties with the organization probably don't help him to ask difficult questions. Richman is good at what he does (i like him a lot) but it's not what he does. And Casey Holdhal is paid by the Blazers... i have a subscription to The Athletic but it's useless. Once in a while there is a 10'000 caracters written by Quick on a player but that is not enough. I will cancel my subscription.
The media following our team are disapointing.

Now if you have overpaid mediocre vets like Ayton/Ant/Grant that couldn't be a key component of a contender here in ~5 years thats where their contributions to wins today is counterproductive. It just leaving the franchise in purgatory for longer. The Bulls are the type of team that has done this worthless roster building the last decade.

Yeah for a time I found Marang to be entertaining. But he turned into a Cronin apologist who defends every move the guy does and legit claims he has never lost a single trade. Also a bit too full of himself and trying to prop up his access/sources/etc.
The BlazerSurprise guys on youtube are decent to listen to. I'd prefer they had their show on spotify, were a tad more polished/professional, and condensed their show to 60ish minutes. I enjoy their passion as fans while still being logical with most of their assessments.
There is certainly an opportunity for some better reporting. Maybe we'll get some more when the Blazers become a playoff team again. I can't imagine there are much financial opportunities to report on a team tanking in a small market.
At this point, we have seen that Sharpe Scoot Camara Deni can be contributing players to a championship team. Why not lose intentionally to get high value asset in the draft to add to the core of solid young guys? How would you like to be Cooper Flagg walking into that situation? Its funny because your doing the exact same thing your criticizing others for.I guess it's just that some people here either like to overthink, be miserable or just have to feel they know more about what's going on than everyone else, including the people that do it, but it gets harder to come here everyday and read about how bad it is if we win or if we lose.

I don't need to finish the whole bowl to know if the soup is good

I've always maintained theres plenty of ways for any fan to root for the team, and none are more right or wrong than the others.
Some fans want to root for every win today no matter the long term cost. Some fans want to root for losses today and build as much younger talent as possible for the future. Some want a blend of both.
Its all just different opinions and preferences. You have yours and others have theirs. Nobody is right or wrong - nor a better fan than anybody else.
But go ahead and continue to "feel you know more" than others, just as your complaining they do to you.
Still awfully quiet. Heard one thing but it seems a longshot.
I would be all for continuing the winning, as long as we also prioritize developing the players we hope to be significant to the franchise going forward.I'm just trying to think how this whole idea would work now that we feel we have a pretty good core so we should just actively try to lose from here on out.
Aside from the message that would send to the fans that actually go to the games, are you benching everyone older than Shaedon? What do you do with Deni? Do you think having a half-dozen players that still aren't in the primes of their careers sitting out just on the off-chance the Blazers might win the lottery sitting out a season that they could be using toward another contract is going to fly well with them or other players that might come here?
What if, God forbid, the Blazers still win? Or what if we lose but we have the worst possible scenario in the lottery and end up picking sixth or seventh anyway?
It just seems there are a lot of potentially negative outcomes to actively tanking when you're getting decent. The Sixers have stars and a really good roster and still are stuck in purgatory. The Pelicans keep picking higher and getting worse. And, again, no one wants to be the Wizards.

On the one hand the recent wins make our vets look better than if the team was losing.Still awfully quiet. Heard one thing but it seems a longshot.
Are you talking about yourself again? You know a good litmus test for someone kool-aiding their own dogma and believing their own BS? It's when they specifically seek out people who disagree with their view to argue and try to confirm their bias.
